Shashank Ketkar was born on 15th September 1985 in Pune, Maharashtra. He is now 34 years old. He is an actor. He did his graduation from D. Y. Patil College of Pune, Maharashtra. And then, he completed post-graduation in Masters of Engineering Management from Australia. He is National Level Swimmer. After post-graduation, he worked as Duty Manager at Ian Thorpe’s swimming school in Australia.
Career & Early Life
When he was in Australia, he participated in Marathi Plays and Musical Programs. When he came in India, he decided to join theatre group. After that, he joined Sudarshan Rangamanch theatre group in Pune. He played his first role in the play Purnaviram from Sudarshan Rangamanch theatre group. Then he decided to give audition for TV serials.
Shashank made his debut on the television from serial Kalay Tasmay Namah on ETV Marathi, wherein he played a role of Kailash, grandson of Vikram Gokhale. Then, he played a negative role in Swapnachya Palikadale on Star Pravah. He played a small role in ME Marathi serial Firuni Navi Janmen Me. Then, He acted in the Star Pravah serial Suhasini where he played a small character of Jayaram as Tushar Dalvi’s Son. This character gave him real identity in industry. He also played a role in other Marathi serilal such as Ithech Taka Tambu on Zee Yuva, Rang Maaza Vegala on Sam Marathi which was his first lead role.
After that, Shashank started work with Zee Marathi serial Honar Sun Me Yaa Gharachi. He played a character of Shree opposite to with his co-star Tejashri Pradhan who played a character of Janhavi. He also got married with co-star Tejashri Pradhan. But after a year, they divorced. After that, he married again with Priyanka Dhavale who is lawyer.
Shashank got Best Actor and Best Couple Awards from Zee Marathi Awards for Honar Sun Me Yaa Gharachi. He also got Best Supporting Actor Award for his play of Goshta Tashi Gamtichi from MICTA and ABMNP.
