Dipti Ketkar is a television actress and a dancer. She was born on 16th April, 1981, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father is a engineer and mother is an Ayurvedic Doctor. She did her schooling from St. Thomas High School, Goregaon, Mumbai. Then, she completed her graduation in Arts from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, Juhu. She got married with her schoolmates Romit Ketkar who is engineer, settled in USA. They have two children.
Career & Early Life:
Dipti’s first choice was a dancing. She always wanted to become a choreographer and wished to work under famous choreographer Farah Khan. She also did M.A. in Bharatnatyam. When she was in college, she represented India in International Folk Dance competition held in France. She also did a show in Paris. She was always being a part of cultural programs and functions since childhood. In her childhood, her uncle Bharat Godambe worked as a makeup artist, suggested her to give auditions for an ad. Then, she worked for print ads like Vadilal Ice Cream, Cough Syrup, and Bornvita. She started her own dance classes.
Dipti made her debut on Marathi Television with show Manushdevta, when she was in 8th standard. She played a role as a child artist. After that, she worked lots of Marathi serial Damini, Avaghachi Sansar, Kunku etc. She became popular from Avaghachi Sansar. She played a negative character as a Sharda Raje. Then, she appeared in serial Mala Sasu Havi on Zee Marathi. She played a negative role of Abhilasha in this serial. Her negative characters so much loved and appreciated by audience. She got real identity in the industry from this serial. Recently, she worked with one of the most popular serial Bhago Mohan Pyare on Zee Marathi. Her character so much appreciated by audience. This serial held as leading role of Atul Parchure & Sarita Mehendale-Joshi.
Dipti made her debut in Marathi Film Industry from movie Mahanadichya Tiravar. She played a negative character in this movie. After that, she acted in the various Marathi movie like Rangrao Chaudhary, Sanai Choughade, Chal Gammat Karu, etc. Sanai Choughade was a one of the most film of her, starred Sai Tamhankar and Santosh Juvekar. She made her debut as leading role in Marathi film from Balirachache Rajya Yeu De. She also played a small role in Hindi Film Carry On Pandu.
